Judith Moses, LCSW is a highly respected Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of Compassionate Counseling and Psychotherapy Services (CCPS). She is deeply committed to helping individuals, couples, and families achieve emotional well-being through thoughtful, compassionate, and personalized care.
Professional Background
Judith earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work with a minor in Behavioral Science from a private university in Tennessee. She later completed her Master’s degree in Social Work at a well-respected institution in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Judith began her clinical career in Kentucky as a Residential Therapist, providing care to children and families involved in the state foster care system. She worked with both boys’ and girls’ residential group homes, offering trauma-informed support and family-centered care. Her professional experience also includes working with Veterans facing substance use challenges, facilitating substance abuse and anger management groups, and leading psychotherapy groups focused on grief and loss.
In addition, Judith has extensive experience in case management, including work within a homeless prevention program where she supported individuals in securing stable housing, employment, and essential resources.
Current Practice
After relocating to the Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) area, Judith established Compassionate Counseling and Psychotherapy Services (CCPS). She currently works with military families, adults, and adolescents, providing individual, couples, and family therapy.
Judith utilizes a variety of evidence-based and integrative clinical approaches, tailoring treatment to meet each client’s unique needs. She also offers Spiritual and Christian counseling upon request, respecting each client’s values, beliefs, and personal journey.
Personal Philosophy
Judith believes healing happens best within a safe, supportive, and collaborative therapeutic relationship. Her approach emphasizes self-compassion, emotional insight, healthy boundaries, and meaningful growth. She is known for creating a warm, grounded space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered.
Personal Interests
Outside of her professional work, Judith values self-care, meaningful relationships, and spiritual growth. She enjoys reading, writing, traveling, running, spending time with family and friends, and cherishes her role as a devoted dog lover.
Through CCPS, Judith remains dedicated to supporting her clients with integrity, empathy, and excellence, helping them move toward healing, clarity, and emotional well-being.
